Professor of Audiovisual Communication and Film Studies at Pompeu Fabra University. He has taught at ESCAC, where he was co-director of the Department of Film Studies and the Master’s Degree in Film and Visual Cultures. A film critic for Fotogramas and La Razón, he was also a scriptwriter and coordinator of the TVE program Días de cine, as well as Programming Director at TCM (Turner Classic Movies). He is the author of books such as Toward a Non-Time Image: Deleuze and Contemporary Cinema, David Lean: The Geography of Emotion, Michael Winterbottom: The Order of Chaos, The Hartley Variations, and The 100 Key Science-Fiction Films.
